Terms of Service

You must abide by the following rules in order to use the services offered by Rebrickable®. Failure to do so may result in your account being removed, or permanently banned.

The admin team may, without warning, remove any content considered to violate these terms.

1. LEGO Copyright

At no time can you upload or display content that violates The LEGO Group's copyright. This includes images with the LEGO Logo. See LEGO's Fair Play Policy for more details.

2. LEGO Clone Brands

Rebrickable is a site for fans of LEGO. You may not post links to external sites that promote non-LEGO brand bricks designed to impersonate the LEGO brand (e.g. Lepin).

While some clone-brands are legal, they are commonly used with stolen Set and MOC designs which we do not condone.

3. Submitting Content to Rebrickable

3.1 Content Ownership

You must not upload materials that you do not own. This includes submitting MOCs designed by others (unless you had a joint role in the creation of the MOC/Instructions), and photos or other images that you did not create yourself.

All materials related to MOCs uploaded to Rebrickable, remain owned by the original content creator. However, Rebrickable may choose to use images or renders of 3D models (but never building instructions) in it's marketing material and promotions.

3.2 MOC Submissions

Once your MOC is published, you can change its content or deactivate it. However, modifying your MOC after approval to something that is fundamentally different that would not have been approved in the first place will result in you losing your MOC submission privileges.

MOCs may NOT be re-published on other sites without explicit permission from the MOC designer.

3.3 Copyright for MOCs

Your MOCs must adhere to the rules listed at Help Guide - Rules for Submitting MOCs

3.4 Trademarked Terms

If you submit a Premium MOC, you must not use trademarked terms in the MOC's name. For example, submitting a MOC named "Tie Fighter" which is a term trademarked by Disney is not allowed. Free MOCs do not have this restriction as you do not have the intent to make a profit from the use of their trademark.

3.5 Image Submissions

Any photos you submit to be added to the catalog (Sets, Parts, Minifigs, etc) must have been taken by yourself. You must not upload photos that were taken from other LEGO sites, even if you submitted it there yourself.

3.6 Other Submissions

All media uploaded (with the exception of MOCs and Workbench posts) will become property of Rebrickable and cannot be removed by the original uploader without request, which may be denied. This includes all images, videos, and other media files.

3.7 LEGO Leaks

At the request of The LEGO Group, we do not allow discussion of new products that would be considered leaks.

4. Behaviour

4.1 Stay Civil

You are expected to remain civil and polite in all discussions with Rebrickable admins and other users, for example via comments, forums, private messages or change suggestions. Any abuse, use of offensive language, preaching, begging for freebies or trolling will not be tolerated.

Commenting on Premium MOCs and complaining about their prices or asking for free instructions is not acceptable. If you don't like a MOC or think it's too expensive, there is no need to abuse the designer about it.

This is a site for fans of LEGO. Keep your religious/political/off-topic views to yourself and don't persecute others.

4.2 Inappropriate Content

You must not publish materials that are copyright-infringing, or inappropriate for a LEGO-fan audience. While Rebrickable allows some content that would normally not be considered appropriate by The LEGO Group (e.g. military items), we do not allow content that depict: heavy violence, drug use or sexual content.

Rebrickable is a website for sharing your LEGO creations, ideas, experiences and finding inspiration from others. Discussions will sometimes go off-topic which is fine, but you cannot start new topics that are completely unrelated to LEGO building.

No personally identifiable information can be submitted to Rebrickable - in MOCs, photos, comments, etc.

You must not use excessively vulgar language in your comments, messages, or publicly viewable information such as usernames or profile descriptions.

4.3 Spam

Unsolicited posts or messages advertising external products or services are not allowed. Spam posts in comments, forum posts, private messages, etc will be removed and your account banned.

4.4 Conducting Business

You may use Rebrickable to sell your MOCs using our Premium MOC system. You must not attempt to conduct business that bypasses Rebrickable's Premium MOC system by e.g. linking to other sites that also sell your MOCs; or to solicit business outside of Rebrickable; or to beg designer's for discounts, freebies, etc; or to promote piracy or otherwise sharing of MOC files outside of Rebrickable.

This means any efforts to purposefully drive sales away from Rebrickable is not allowed - e.g. by offering cheaper prices, or discounts, etc.

5. Automation

5.1 API Usage

The Rebrickable API may be used for any purpose, including commercial. However, it would be highly appreciated if you provide a statement that the data is sourced from Rebrickable.

The API is provided for ease of access to LEGO and Rebrickable catalog data. Alternatively, you can download the full catalog via the Downloads page.

5.2 Images

Images of Sets, Parts and Minifigs may be used on external websites or apps. You can download them or hotlink them, but run the risk of the URL changing in future updates. However, you may not use MOC images.

5.3 Scrapers/Bots

Under no circumstances are you allowed to use automation tools to download data or to automate traffic, doing so will get your IP and/or account banned.

6. Legal Stuff

6.1 Rebrickable Trademark/Copyright

Rebrickable® is a trademarked term owned by Rebrickable Pty Ltd. Any unauthorised use is strictly prohibited.

Any other sites that use the Rebrickable name to sell LEGO or clone-brand bricks and instructions are doing so illegally, and most likely using pirated content.

6.1 Image Copyright

Images on Rebrickable fall into three categories:

  1. LEGO-owned IP - images such as Sets/Parts/Minifigs/Instructions are LEGO IP. You may use them, but their usage must adhere to the LEGO copyright rules.
  2. MOCs - these materials are owned by the original designer who created the content and uploaded it to Rebrickable. You may not use these images for your own purposes.
  3. Other Rebrickable-owned IP - any other images found on the site may not be used without permission.
