We alow many types of MOC instructions on Rebrickable. Photo sequences are popular for smaller MOCs, or by newer users who haven't figured out modelling software such as Studio yet. However when there are too many individual images uploaded to a MOC, it makes it hard for users to view and access the instructions. This guide shows you a few ways of combining images into a more user friendly format.
This method should only be used if you have <10 images needed to build your MOC. Each image needs to be numbered such that the order is obvious, such as step1.jpg, step2.jpg etc. Anything larger than this you need to combine into a single file, and smaller MOCs it is still preferable to have a single file.
Please note we do not allow .heic image files as these can't be easily opened by non-apple users.
Combine Images Into a .pdf
There are a few options for converting multiple images into a .pdf
Google Docs
1. Create a new docuemt and go to File > Page Setup. Make the page layout matching the size of your images as closely as possible. For example if you took landscape images, make the orientation landscape. Set all margins to 0 to avoid blank space around the edges. Click Ok.
2. Go to Insert > Image and chose the location of your images, such as from computer, or from Drive if you already have your images in a google drive folder. Make sure your images are in order before you add them to the document! Click the first image, scroll to the bottom, and while holding shift, click the last image to select all of them. Click Insert. After the images are inserted, check they are in order! You may need to adjust some of the image sizes or page size.
3. Click File > Download > PDF document (.pdf) and then choose where to save the document. This can then be uploaded as your MOC instruction file.
Mac
Open the folder containing your images.
Select all images you want in the PDF.
Right-click and choose Open With > Preview.app
4. In Preview, go to View > Thumbnails (if not already visible). 5. Drag and drop to reorder images if needed. 6. Go to File > Print...
7. In the print dialog, click the PDF button at the bottom-left, then choose Save as PDF… 8. Choose the destination and click Save.
Open the Terminal at the folder containing your images.
5. Run this command to convert all jpg files into a single PDF. Or specify a different file ending.

Use an online conversion tool
There are a few different free tools online where you can upload image files and it will create a .pdf. These can be found using a search engine and all work slightly differently. There may be file size limits.
Combine Images Into a Zip Folder
This is a way of combining multiple files to be uploaded as a group. It means a user wanting to build your MOC only needs to click download once, but they will need to know how to unzip the folder in order to access the files which can be challenging for some users, especially those accessing Rebrickable on mobile.
Windows
Select all the files you want to combine by clicking the first one, holding down shift and clicking the last one.
Once selected, right click the group and choose Send to > Comressed (zipped) Folder.
You can then upload the .zip file as your MOC instructions.
To unzip the folder and access the images simply right click the folder and click extract all. This will have a couple of menus to choose the extract location, but default values are fine.
Mac
On Mac, to create a zip folder there is a “Compress” option in the context menu of the file manager.
To uncompress it you only need to open the folder.
Link to an Online Album
You are also allowed to link to an online album where people can view your MOC images, such as a google drive folder, flicker album etc. If doing this it must be set to public, the files must be in order, and you must maintain the files as long as your MOC is active. If we notice the link has stopped working your MOC will be disabled.
